SCROLL to the end of this post for phone/email order information.

PLEASE WEAR A MASK OR FACE COVERING FOR THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OUR WORKERS AND CUSTOMERS.

Given Gov. Dewine's 3.22.20 order, Joy Machines Bike Shop will be open for ESSENTIAL PURCHASES & REPAIRS ONLY. We ask that you not browse (unless you need to buy something), and we will limit the number of customers in the shop to one per employee only, maintaining a six-feet distance from one another. No waiting inside during repairs. And please, by all means: stay home if you are feeling ill! We remain open as an essential transportation business under the state order, but we are taking our status as an "essential" service seriously. "Curbside pick-up" is available. See below for more details. Thank you for understanding.

We at the shop are not taking this situation lightly and recognize the importance of being careful and sensitive to the most vulnerable people among us.

With so many workplaces, schools, and other gathering places closed, it's only natural to feel stir-crazy and restless. I know that for me personally, sitting at home thinking about the problems in the world around me only heightens any anxiety that I may already be feeling. At times like these, going outside and being active is, I believe, truly one of the very best and healthiest things we can choose to do. That could be simply taking your dog for a walk around the block, doing yard work, or riding your bike around the city or through a nearby park. If you're feeling at a loss for what to do with yourself, grab your bike and go for a ride! I doubt you'll regret it!

If your bike needs any work done on it before you feel ready to take it for a spin, but you're trying to keep interpersonal contact to a minimum, we now have the option of curbside bike drop-off. During off-hours (if you're not able to get here between 11A-7P) we have a combination bike lock that you can use to lock your bike to the rack on the sidewalk in front of the shop (give us a call to arrange drop off and to get the code). Or, if you're dropping off during open hours, you can simply give us a call to make sure someone is available, and leave the bike on the rack and one of us will come out and snag it--no locking required. After being worked on, all bikes will be thoroughly wiped down with disinfectant spray.

Thanks,

Alex
